School Policies
In order to maintain the professionalism and excellence of our program, the College of Hair Design maintains several important policies that govern the school and the conduct of our students.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from the College of Hair Design and receive a diploma in cosmetology, barber arts, or esthetics, individuals must acquire the necessary credits and hours as regulated by the State of Nebraska. Students must successfully complete all phases of the course by achieving a grade point average of 80% or better, upon graduation, and 80% or better, in both the practical and theoretical portions of the final examinations.
License to Practice
Graduation from the College of Hair Design does not constitute a license to practice nor is a license to practice guaranteed by the school. Upon completion of the course, the graduate is eligible for examination by the Nebraska Board to determine their fitness to receive a license.
Professionalism
At the College of Hair Design, we take pride in the talent and knowledge of our students. Students are required to conduct themselves as professionals at all times, and treat clients and other students with courtesy and respect.
Promptness
Daily attendance at the College of Hair Design contributes toward the total number of hours needed to obtain a license. As a result, prompt attendance for classroom and salon training is important.
School Calendar/ Holidays
The school observes the following six holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
