Ace of Fades owner Angel Flores graduated from CHD in 2018 and shown standing to the left of Greg above. He is an example of many CHD students who have fulfilled their goal and dream of owning their own business.”

Many Possibilities Lay Ahead of You!

The programs at the College of Hair Design provide detailed fundamentals for success working in the beauty industry, whether you go on to own your own salon or join an established business.

JOB PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE

Students receive direct instruction in setting goals for their success, building clientele, retail product sales, and business ownership including day trips to Nebraska salons and potential employers. CHD’s reputation and relationship with Salons and Spas enable us to assist our graduates in finding employment. In recent follow-up surveys of our graduates by a 3rd party survey firm found that 80% of Barber Arts grads and 82% of Cosmetology grads had employment in our industry shortly after graduation.

Students must understand that, by law, no school can guarantee employment upon graduation. However, it is the goal of the College of Hair Design to help students to be successful, complete their programs, and graduate as professionals. College of Hair Design does not guarantee employment or any level of success based on the completion of any of our programs.

Hands-on Training with Small Classes

You’ll learn hands-on from knowledgeable instructors with years of personal experience. In our salon clinic, you’ll work with real customers to complement what you’ve learned in the classroom. We partner with over a dozen of the leading product manufacturing companies that you’ll use in the real world, including Aquage, Dermalogica, American Crew, Brazilian Blowout, Redken, Matrix Hair Color, and many others. Finally, we keep classes small so you get the support and attention you deserve to learn new skills and pursue a successful career.

CHD Gives Back

Giving back to the community has always been important to the College of Hair Design staff and family. We hope to encourage positive, potentially significant changes in people’s lives by sharing our talents and resources. In the Fall, we partner with the Oasis Barbershop and Salon, providing a facility for their annual back-to-school free haircut and backpack event. We also make a yearly donation, benefiting various charities including Hope Venture and Tiny Hands Back-to-School Event at Downtown CHD.

Pictured here is CHD graduates Ashley Hopkins and KB Mensah with Greg Howard on August 11, 2019, Back-to-School HaircutEvent. On this day over 800 children received free haircuts and back backs full of school supplies. CHD students worked other Barbers and Cosmetologists to provide a fresh haircut to start the school year.
