Hands-on-Training with Small Classes
You’ll learn hands-on from knowledgeable instructors with years of personal experience. In our salon clinic, you’ll work with real customers to complement what you’ve learned in the classroom. We partner with leading product manufacturing companies that you’ll use in the real world, including Aquage, American Crew, Brazilian Blowout, Glow Makeup, Redken, Matrix Hair Color, and many others. Finally, we keep classes small so you get the support and attention you deserve to learn new skills and pursue a successful career.
Two Beautiful Locations
The modern East Campus is located in an up and coming suburban area just off of 91st and Nebraska Hwy 2. CHD East was designed with a deliberate focus on our Hair Design and Skin Care Programs. This facility opened its doors in 2009 and offers over 25,000 square feet of salon/spa classroom and a spacious salon area.
The Downtown Campus is located on the corner of 11th & M St in the middle of a bustling urban scene. Our spacious clinics provide the use of hair & skin products and styling aids from a large variety of companies to maximize learning.
As a student at the College of Hair Design, you can choose the program and location that is most convenient for you.
Education by Pivot Point – A Designer’s Approach
Art is more than copying someone else’s work. With this innovative and multimedia program, you’ll learn, see, think, create, and adapt for yourself as a designer. Each student has access to an online library of resources of Advance Cutting, Color & Styling tutorials along with the ACE Exam online portal. The ACE Exams are very helpful as you prepare for your CHD finals and the State Exams for Licensure.
CHD is the only college in Lincoln utilizing the benefits of the Pivot Point Education.
