There’s a lot to love about Lincoln. A booming city striving for utopia, Lincoln is full of dichotomies. The people here epitomize the classic Midwestern work ethic but nurture an artistic soul. Residents enjoy amenities reserved for big cities but retain a community-feel found only in small towns. Downtown is a seamless blend of historical structures and modern architecture.

Our students don’t have to go searching for entertainment when their day is done. And if they choose to stay in Lincoln after they graduate, the job outlook is more than promising.

Hear What CHD Grads and Professionals Have to Say

Savanah Longoria -Cosmetology graduate

I knew I wanted to be a hairstylist when I grew up because I felt the passion for it as a child. So when it came time to choose a school for my cosmetology education, I took a tour around CHD East Campus. I immediately felt passion there. The new, clean, and open design of the school was also a nice touch! The educators are passionate about what they do and they care about each and every student’s career. Thanks to the Pivot Point program the College of Hair Design offers and the patience of my instructors, I learned a lot in a very short amount of time. CHD was inviting and exciting when I started school on the first day, and it was just the same when I left on my graduation day.”

It’s been over a year and a half since I graduated and I’m now employed at Iasan and Sebastian Studio Salon as a level 2 stylist/makeup artist in Lincoln, NE. I very happily accepted my job at I&S salon just a few short weeks after graduating and have been there since. I’m proud of my accomplishments in my career as a hairstylist so far and I’m so happy I chose college of Hair Design to help get me here!

Rachel Schaben – Cosmetology Graduate

Giving back to the community has always been important to the College of Hair Design staff and family. We hope to encourage positive, potentially significant changes in people’s lives by sharing our talents and resources. In the Fall, we partner with the Oasis Barbershop and Salon, providing a facility for their annual back-to-school free haircut and backpack event. We also make a yearly donation, benefiting various charities including Hope Venture and Tiny Hands. Back-to-School Event at Dowtown CHD

I think that the opportune word is “WOW!”. When you drive up from the road and you see this massive, impressive building. It’s the most impressive building I have ever seen of a school. It’s breathtakingly beautiful! It definitely makes me proud to say I am a hairdresser in this industry when you see schools at this level in this day and age. Thank you! I am super excited!

K.B. – Owner of Oasis Barbershop – Lincoln, NE

The College of Hair Design gave me the tools and resources to be a successful barber and business owner within the community. They allowed me to turn my passion into a career. I would highly recommend attending The College of Hair Design if you are looking to pursue a career in barbering.”

Jason McLaughlin – Owner of Iasan & Sebastian Studio Salon
